One dead As Building Collapses In Oyo State

A lady has shockingly lost her life after a story-building crumbled in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Reports accumulated that the lady was caught when the structure crumbled at Onipasan territory, behind Oluyoro Hospital, Ibadan.

It was, in any case, assembled that specialists of Ibadan North East Local Government have taken an excavuator to the area of the structure breakdown for salvage activity.

The salvage group emptied the body of the perished on Sunday and she has since been covered.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the State Police Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, affirmed the occurrence on Monday.

Fadeyi stated,

“Indeed, there was a structure breakdown yesterday. It is under Agugu region. The structure fallen and the lady passed on.

“It was the spouse of the Alhaji that possesses the house.”

  1. From the looks of the collapsed building, it is very obvious that its an ancient house which we can say it has long time reached its expiring state. Proper usage of materials and continuous maintenance of building extend its life span.

  2. The question of collapsed structures these days is on the high side. Quake or half baked engineers should not be allowed to be building houses in the country to avoid touching stories.
